Aizuwakamatsu City is located in the western part of Fukushima Prefecture. It is known as a castle town with Tsuruga Castle and other historical sites, as well as cultural and traditional sites. Lake Inawashiro and other nature sites like Higashiyama Hot Springs and Ashinomaki Hot Springs are located here. The city is very popular because you can feel the “Samurai Culture” in the area.

The castle was surrounded for one month before the onslaught of the New Government Army in Boshin's campaign. Tsuruga Castle is the only remaining castle with a red tiled roof. You can enjoy the seasonal events held at the castle all year round.

Oyakuen Park was loved by each park keeper throughout its history, with different flowers blooming in each season. You can enjoy the seasonal flowers in the garden named after the migratory garden with a heart-shaped pond in the center, along with a medicinal herb garden that grows various herbs.
