Aomori City

Aomori City is the prefectural capital of Aomori Prefecture, located in the center of Aomori Prefecture. Aomori Nebuta Festival, a traditional Japanese fire festival held from August 2 to 7, whereby approximately 2.8 million tourists visit each year. Also, the city is steeped in history and cultural spots such as the Sannai Maruyama Archeological site.
