Hirosaki City, the third largest city in Aomori Prefecture, is famous for apples, being the largest producer in Japan, responsible for about 20% of apple production in Japan. Many tourists visit Hirosaki Castle, which is a symbol of Japan, and Neputa Festival, where floats are drawn with warrior paintings and held in summer.
