There is Sendai Airport, the gateway to the Tohoku region, which has five regular flight routes, including Taiwan, Shanghai, Beijing, Korea and Thailand. There are various sightseeing spots easily assessible from the airport and Sendai City. They include the “Yuriage Harbor Morning Market” and “Kawamachi Terrasu Yuriage” where you can enjoy fresh local seafood, and “Trail Center” for hikers.

The Natori Kumano Sansha refers to the Kumano Hongusha Shrine, Kumano Shrine, and Kumano Nachi Shrine, and is said to have been established around the 12th century.
