Nishimeya Village

Nishimeya Village, the gateway to the Shirakami Mountain Range, which was registered as a World Natural Heritage Site in 1993, is located in the southwestern part of Aomori Prefecture. Located in a gorge, the village is surrounded by 1,000 meter-class mountains on three sides, and 93% of the area is forested. Anyone can easily visit the World Heritage site, with attractions such as the Anmon Waterfall designated as the Prefectural Natural Park and the World Heritage Diabeuna Forest Walking Path.
