Noda Village
Noda Village is a village facing the Pacific Ocean in northern Iwate Prefecture. One of the Sanriku Reconstruction National Parks, "Tofugaura" is famous for its long and gently-sloping sandy beaches. Natural seawater is used to make salt called "Noda salt" by using the traditional boiler-pot direct cooking method. This is a method that is unique to the area. Sanriku is abundant with many seafood delicacies, such as the ”Iwate Nodamura Araumi Hotate” raised in the rough seas of Noda Bay, and wakame (kelp).
